Heat transfer analysis of any system is the summation of all of
the factors involved in crossing the barriers from the heat source to
the fluid (gas in the case of a Stirling engine) to be heated to a
given temperature. This includes the metal physical barrier and the
film factors and any other impediments to heat flow.
