The SV-2 MKII Stirling Engine Generator auto air-conditioner

I just finished a new post on a Stirling engine generator made with an automotive air-conditioner compressor. The main part of the article is written by the inventor himself. I think it's a clever design.

Re: High Temp Epoxy Piston Rings????

Wow, what a great idea. I think this will work for engines that run at relatively low temperatures (200-300 Fahrenheit). Let me know if it works out.

Re: Momentum of gases

I think it's a great idea. I've been sketching some hobby level LTD alpha designs that I think may just work. I've also been working on an alpha/gamma composite engine. It has two displacer cylinders (one hot, one cold) and a power cylinder. I like the idea of increasing efficiency with valved airwa...

Re: Green Grill

Not a bad idea. I helped build a rotisserie big enough for a large pig. We used a swimming pool cover motor to power the spit. It already had a gearbox on it that was close enough for the job. You may want to look for a used one.
