I have an idea and would like a little help:

I would like to find a Stirling engine that might be appropriate to turn the rotisserie on a barbeque grill. This is usually done by a small electric motor, but as the temperature and speed are going to be stable, it would seem the engine with a reduction gear might work providing direct mechanical power.

A rotisserie powered by the heat of the grill.

Not a bad idea. I helped build a rotisserie big enough for a large pig. We used a swimming pool cover motor to power the spit. It already had a gearbox on it that was close enough for the job. You may want to look for a used one.
