What different kinds of Stirling-engines is there?

I have heard that there exists alfa, beta, delta, gamma... versions
of the Stirling engine. Please let me know what types that exists and
how they work.

There are three basic configurations for Stirling Engines.

The delta variety is actualy the LTD (Low Temperature Difference) engine that will run on any low temperature source such as a TV top or the heat of your hand.
