"ISOLATING THE HOT SIDE"
Please note that both the hot and cold ends will be at atmospheric air temperatures.
The cooling effect of fans is due to evaporation of moisture from skin or othe wet surfaces. One 6" or 7 20" makes no difference. Mo moisture, no evaporation, no cooling.
