Lighting LED with MM7

Post by stirling___4566 »

I'm interested in using an MM7 to light an LED and wondered if anyone
has tried coupling the flywheel to a small electric motor as a
generator? As this should only require a few watts of power I'm
guessing it should be capable. Comments? Suggestions?

The MM7 is an LTD Heat of Your Hand engine. It runs too slow 40-100 rpm and is too slow for running a generator.

I would suggest a MM5 Coffee Cup engine which is much faster and should be adequate to light a low voltage LED with a small dc motor/generator.
