Just a thought

I'm building a Stirling engine and will use air as fluid and had the idea to put a valve on the outlet of the displacer cylinder,so when you first turn on the engine the displacer cylinder heat faster and create more pressure. I do not know if anyone remembered this and was wondering if you think it works?
