Shape of the hot side of Displacer Cylinder

HI,
I am going on a design of a gamma type Stirling engine, here i would
like to ask about the design of the end side of displacer cylinder
(hot side - expansion space). I have been referred to several books
that they had suggested the use of dome shape for it. If i am going
to construct a rounded-flat shape of the end cylinder (with a small
radius fillet corner), can it work? my hold temperature is around
600 celcius. the material used is Stainless steel with thickness of
5mm.
thanks
