indeed the phase angle between displacer and power piston (Gamma type)
in essential..but,which piston should leads and which one should lags?

The phase angle for Stirling engines is approximately 90+/- deg.

The direction of rotation of the flywheel can be changed by switching the connecting rods positions on the cranks.
