Hello!
I'm trying to get 500w out of my alfa, so far not even close but here
you can see it running http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Bf6mhfeUH0&eurl=
Piston diameter is 63mm and now I'm seeking to find small pieces of
rulon LD sheet, 0.25mm thick, to try to make lip seals. I got these
informations from Mr. Andy Ross's book, but does anyone know if I
needed a thicker material to piston with 63mm bore?
63mm should be a standard bore, I would be happy to try a factory made
piston rings if there was any suitable low friction / high temperature
rings available? Is there any?

Response to Piston rings, rulon LD, where to buy?
Thanks!
It seems like the rulon J would be the most suitable material? I keep on searching.

Try Vespel material 211. They work. Problem is the material is costly. You can get them in Norway and Sweden.

There are several Rulon materials that can be used in piston ring applications. LR and J are common but there are newer grades that give better performance. Contact www.tstar.com and go to Ask The Experts. They can help.
