Response to Stirling Engine Generator for T.V. Sat. Truck

As part of a CHP (Combined Heat and Power) system, the WhisperGen Stirling Engine is a good idea. It can produce 800 W of electrical power, but it produces over 5kW in heat. That heat can be used to compress air. The compressed air can do work directly, rather than through conversion to electrical energy and back to kinetic energy
(electro-motive force). In a satellite truck, the obvious use for compressed air would be to raise and lower the antenna boom/mast using a combination of high efficiency Di Pietro-type instant torque air motors, C. W. Musser-type zero backlash harmonic drives, and air pistons.

Q1. Have you priced a WhisperGen S.E. and what is the delivery time?

Q2. Can you explain how 5kW of thermal energy can compress air?
