HI...I am interested in making a small model of Stirling cooler...a
small one which is similar to bicycle pump...this works with our hands
but not electrical motor...meaning we have to push and lift the piston
at a pace to create lower temperatures at the other end...
This, am designing a portable ice maker which works with no
electricity..
The size of it is much smaller so that a teen can work with it to create
a small glass of ice ...
Will this can be done????

How much energy will you have to expend in order to achieve your goal?

Consider a small glass of 100 cc to be cooled from 20 C to 0 C and then extract the heat of fusion of water from 50 cc to freeze that amount. Compare that to the amount of energy a normal human can exert as a first step.

Perhaps someone will have a suggestion for the construction of a Stirling cooler to accomplish this.
