I am doing a waste heat recovery project for school. My team has
decided that a Stirling engine would be a good way to go. I was
wondering how I would figure out the sizing of a Stirling engine with
a temperature difference of about 600 deg F using air as the gas in
the system and needing approx. 1 kW of output. If anyone can help me
with this I would really appreciate it.

Response to Sizing a Stirling engine
Hi, I'm also looking for some simple maths for sizing a engine.
I'd like to make a very simple, low-tech engine that would give lke 2HP output on 40 degrees Celsius temp difference (70C hot side - 30C cold side). It is to be build and used in Brazil, in real live in a couple of hundreds settlements in the Amazon. Real thing. I'l appreciate any help.
