I'm looking for the original findings from the FORD/NASA partnership
about the P-40 engine they developed. Does anyone know where I can
find anything on this? I'd like to run a Genetic Algorithm to
maximize engine efficiency for the P-40 but need the orginal design
data.

I do not have direct informations on the FORD/NASA Stirling engine. There is a web page named "Adams Place" which may be of some help at:

Look for NASA links about mid page. Please post reference when and if you find the original date/source.

I've found a beginning. I imagine the actual report (full text) is available at some library. Here's what the GRC offer's up.

I'll keep looking. I'm not finished with my project yet!

Here's the final report listing. If anyone finds anything further I'd really appreciate it.

Hi,

I think what you are looking for is here..

mac6.ma.psu.edu/Stirling/reports/19970012689_1997021349.pdf

The document is 170 plus pages long and quickly scanning the first few pages it seems to be what you are seeking.

Good luck
