Has anyone made a speaker driven piston?

Has anyone made a speaker driven piston?

I'm not talking about the systems that create acuostic standing waves
and all that. I'm just wondering if anyone has had success with like
using a long throw woofer to drive the linear Stirling power and/or
displacer pistons. Sometime like the 2000 watt long throw from Swiss
Audio for $199 at ebay:

http://www.swissaudioinc.com/woofers/spw.html ?

If yes then can some give a link to a speaker Stirling where the
speaker is the linear alternator to take off electrical power?

Right now I'm just exploring many different Stirling designs trying to
see a very easy to build version with good power, good efficiency and
low maintenance.

OK, I said I wasn't interested in standing waves and all that but now I see that making waves is easier that physical pistons, except it looks like I need traveling waves more than standing waves according to the information at:

But I need to study this more. The title is acoustic laser but it includes acoustic Stirling engine information also.

Using a speaker for a drive is an idea that has been kicked around for a while. The limit to power is going to be the operaing temp of the spaeaker materials. The foam surround and most cone materials are not designed to withstand temputures much over ambient air temp. Without higher temp capabilities, you won't get enough power from the power cylinder to drive the displacer(something all kinimatic engines do).

What about disassembling the woofer and using only the huge and strong permanent magnet and the coil?

I'd rather see a woofer as a very cheap and efficient linear alternator for a free-piston Stirling.
