Stirling Engine Generator

Post by md_bl »

I am Final Year Student Mechacnial Engineering and working on
Stirling Engine Generator Project.I know all the basic information
regarding Stirling engine. I have to design 2.5KW(Output Electrical
Load) Stirling engine generator. Can anybody tell how much indicated
power required while using Beta Type Stirling Engine.Another problem
is that which which of the Stirling Engine Theory best describe the
practical Stirling Engine. And I will be very thankful if anyone send
me pertinent material.
Thanx..

Response to Stirling Engine Generator

Your Stirling engine output will have to be increased to compensate for the efficiency of the 2.5 Kw generator. The indicated power of a Stirling is not usually referred to. I am not aware of anyone making use of it.
they usually refer to the Carnot effeciency and how far they are from achieving it.

If you look up The first four links should connect you to valuable resources of information and theory of Stirling engines.
