Hy, I'm designing an alpha type Stirling engine, and I've had some
trouble finding information that helps me define how big the
compression volume shold be. I have calculated an approximate
expansion volume using the first order method outlined in Martini's
book. Any information or direction will be greately appreciated
Here are some design parameters:
Alpha type
Hot end temperature: 700 °C (1292 F), industrial exhaust gas.
Cold temperature: 20 °C (68 F), water.
Expected power output: 50 kW (67 HP)
Mean preassure: 10 bar (145 psi)
Expansion swept volume: 12000 cm^3 (732 in^3)
Working gas: He
Frecuencie: 30 Hz (1800 rpm)

how large of a unit are you looking to build? Can you send me info on that book? Thanks.
