How Big are the Largest, Commercially Available Stirling Engines?

Post by mitchking »

I know that STM Power, Inc. makes a 55 kW Stirling engine, which I
thought was the largest, commercially available Stirling until I
read in this forum about a 100 kW unit apparently used in a
submarine. How big are the largest, commercially available Stirling
engines, who are the manufacturers, and how does one go about
getting in touch with them?

The submarine that you mention was buildt by the swedish company Kochums in 1995. If you go to www.kockums.se you should be able to find info on these large (100 Kw) Stirlings.
