Probably an obvious question, but is anyone aware of any
organizations that are currently developing and/or have researched
the application of heat recovery from auto exhaust utilizing
Stirling engines?

No commercial activity to my knowledge. There may be some interest on the part of individual Stirling enthusiasts that have not publicized their work.

I want to do the same. I know there is a person with a patent on this, bu tshould not hold anyone to build it in your own car.
