industrial waste heat analysis/characterization

I would like to know the categories of industrial waste heat in as
many industrial segments as posible (eg, petrochemical, cement, glass
and ceramics, power generation, steel, chemical, pharmaceutical,
etc). I would also like to know how much waste heat exists in every
indutrial segment. I am sure that your campany did this analysis to
identify the markets and potential markets. If you do not have these
figures, may be you may direct me to some web sites that may have
such information.

American Stirling does not have a compendium of such information. Possibly another user of the forum may have some data.

I would suggest you search the web with , , and other search engines for each specific waste heat source of interest.

You could find out how much waste heat is generated by buildings in the business sector by looking at HVAC (Humidity, Ventilation, Air Conditioning) stats. Check the adverts and see what the builders are specifying for heat removal. The size of the air conditioner is rated by how much heat it can dissipate. Ring one of the high-end industrial suppliers and see if they have a computational tool for specifying how much AC they need to provide per floor, and extrapolate from there. May not be definitive, but can be a great source of rule-of-thumb values.
