Power Calculations?

Post by aelliot3 »

I have been searching for a long time to figure out how much power
you can expect from a Stirling engine given A,B, whatever.

I tried to create my own model based only on 1-D conduction. I just
used the two outside temps (assumed the sides of the enigne were
fully insulated, hence the 1-D part) and what material was between
to find the heat flow through the engine. This system gave me far
smaller power than expected. In hindsight it made sense becasue i
did not even account for the work flowing out of the system.

I was hoping someone could help me. Either by telling me how to
incorporate the work term (still would like to use 1-D), or point me
to a link that has this problem solved already. In fact any sort of
input from a knowledgable source would help alot.

Thanks
